🎨 Artwork Rules for Music Releases

All submitted artwork must meet the following standards in quality, content, and information accuracy to be approved for distribution.


📷 Quality

  • Format: JPEG or JPG format only.
  • Size: Between 1500x1500 and 3000x3000 pixels.
  • Color space: Must be encoded with sRGB.

❌ Not Accepted:

  • Pixelated, blurry, stretched, misaligned, or rotated artwork
  • Cropped images or additional bars added to meet resolution requirements
  • Artwork missing parts of the image or visual elements

✅ May Be Accepted (Case-by-Case):

  • Intentional effects such as blur, pixelation, or misalignment only if used as an artistic choice

🖼️ Image Content

Your artwork must not include:

  • Third-party IP: Logos, trademarks, famous characters, industrial designs, or artworks without permission
  • Pornographic content
  • Nazi propaganda
  • Terrorist imagery or messaging
  • Culturally sensitive or discriminatory content, including:
    • Child safety issues
    • Harassment or extreme violence
    • Xenophobia or discrimination
    • Nudity, drug references, or graphic content

Generic Templates:

  • Use of generic templates is not allowed
  • Changing only the color palette while reusing the same image is considered a generic template

Note: Artwork standards may be further restricted in certain territories as per local laws or store policies.


📝 Information Guidelines

Mismatched Metadata:

  • Information on artwork must match the metadata exactly (e.g., artist name, release title)
  • Translations or different alphabets that don't match metadata are not allowed

Parental Advisory:

  • Do not use the Parental Advisory / Explicit Content logo unless one of the tracks is marked explicit
  • The "Restricted" (R-rated) logo is for films only

Store References:

  • Do not include names or logos of digital music stores

Misleading or Inaccurate Content:

  • Do not reference content not included in the release (e.g., "video included")
  • Avoid information that might mislead listeners

Prohibited Terms or Designs:

  • No references to physical/digital formats (CD, cassette, mp3, QR codes, Dolby Atmos)
  • Avoid time-limited phrases like "New", "Coming Soon", "Unreleased"
  • No pricing, barcodes, or advertising
  • Do not include contact details (phone, email, websites)

For best results, always use original, high-quality artwork that represents your release truthfully and creatively, while complying with the above rules.
